"You have lifted me up. You have lifted, you are"....huh?

This is a shout out for all those from the Class of '94 - Feickert Elementary Alumni. Just remember when your part comes up to sing the descant!

So last night it Larry took me to see, as he called it, a river. There is this street that he was telling me flooded really bad everytime Tooele got a bit of rain. Well, i was kinda giving Larry a hard time because when we got there, there was only a bit of a puddle in the middle of the street. So, i started singing this song. Funny thing is that I was actually dressed the same way as this lady is! Good memories. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeaHaqZJ0a4 Also, if you look hard you might be able to see Laura back in the day.

Too much hassle

So interest rates have gone down and since Larry and i haven't even owned our house for a year we've decided to refinance to make our monthly payment go down. That's all great, but because we're doing an FHA loan they're more picky than normal about the house's appearance. Moral of the story is that all was well except that we needed to paint some spots on our eves on one side of our house. Larry and I started but Chance (Larry's nephew) came over to hang out with Larry thinking it would be a night of fun, but we quickly put him to work climbing this rickety and unstable ladder. Poor kid. It might not look that high in the pics, but I assure you, it is.

I tried to catch the squeels coming from them, but they figured out i was recording. So instead i got them acting "cool". Oh, and by the way, we're not always talking about drugs. Larry thought I looked like i was the type of kid who smoked pot in high school because of my glasses i wore on the mission. Thus the comment.

I love to see the temple!

Larry and I have decided that our once a month temple attendance was pretty rediculous seeing as we only live about a half hour from the temple. So, we've decided to go every week on Fridays and it has been so great! Last Friday was absolutely amazing!!!! We went to do a sealing assignment for our ward and we had the most amazing sealer. This man was wonderful. He started off normal but then after the first couple of sealings he said, "if there are any questions, please feel free to ask". Well we did, and we were taught for the next hour our so. It was so so so neat. He was a mission president in Philadelphia and said that I reminded him of one of the sisters from the mission. He talked to Larry and I a lot and just like a mission president, when he would ask a question he kept looking to "his missionaries". Well, probably to Larry because Larry knew all the answers. It was a wonderful experience though.

After we left the sealing room Larry, I and his parents decided to go to the celestial room to sit, enjoy the Spirit of the temple, and discuss some of the things we'd learned. The sealer came in and said, "I'm not supposed to give tours, but I'd like to show you around." It was so cool! He showed us where the Holy of Holy's was, a lot of history and a couple sealing rooms i didn't know existed. I'm so grateful to that man for taking the time to talk and teach us. I'm so excited to keep going to the temple and learning lots and lots more. What a wonderful place!

Here are some pictures of when we went with Larry's parents. The pics are kinda blurry. Sorry.

Larry and I went with Beckie and Chance Boekweg along with a friend of Chances, that Saturday. This is us in the visitors center.
